Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a finance team in Grove City, Ohio. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting period-end close activities, and delivering meaningful reporting across multiple entities. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger expertise, sharp analytical skills, and a proactive approach to resolving accounting issues while upholding compliance and internal control standards.

Responsibilities:
• Drive core accounting activities tied to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles for multiple business entities.
• Create, evaluate, and record journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and other necessary adjustments to keep financial data accurate and complete.
• Oversee balance sheet account integrity by identifying discrepancies, researching reconciling items, and ensuring timely resolution.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial packages and management reports that support informed business decisions.
• Analyze financial fluctuations and trends, investigate unexpected results, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Apply accounting policies and internal control procedures consistently to maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory expectations.
• Assist with annual audits, tax-related support, and external financial reporting deliverables.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain reliable general ledger records within the accounting system, including Acumatica.• At least 3 years of accounting experience in a corporate or multi-entity environment.
• Hands-on experience managing month-end close processes and maintaining general ledger accuracy.
• Strong background in preparing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Experience completing bank reconciliations and researching outstanding variances.
• Ability to interpret financial results, identify irregularities, and support reporting needs.
• Familiarity with accounting software platforms, including experience with Acumatica.
• Solid understanding of internal controls, financial statement preparation, and audit support responsibilities.
