Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Lenexa, KS

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time contract assignment
• Day or evening shifts may be available; flexibility may be required depending on surgical schedules

Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license
• Minimum of one year experience in an Operating Room
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with OR protocols, sterile technique, and patient care technology
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within multi-disciplinary surgical teams
• Excellent critical thinking, organization, and time management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate or scrub during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and aseptic technique
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and support anesthesia staff as needed
• Prepare OR rooms with proper instruments, supplies, and equipment before procedures
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other clinical staff
• Document patient care accurately, following regulatory and facility guidelines
• Respond efficiently to emergencies and unexpected events during procedures
• Support patient transitions to pre- and post-op care, providing education and reassurance
