Job Title: Field Service CoordinatorJob Description

The Field Service Coordinator will collaborate with the Field Service Coordinator in Allentown to support Field Service Technicians. This role involves coordinating and scheduling activities for installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks according to established protocols and customer requirements. The position reports to the Director of Field Service Operations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage service requests and prioritize them based on urgency and customer needs.
  • Respond to emergency customer requests and coordinate team and resources for response.
  • Develop and maintain a schedule for preventive maintenance of equipment at customer sites.
  • Maintain an online calendar and collaborate with the Director to ensure correct service coverage.
  • Serve as a backup contact for customers regarding service inquiries and updates.
  • Communicate service schedules, delays, and changes effectively to customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of service requests, technician assignments, and job completion status.
  • Prepare and submit reports on service activities, customer feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor inventory levels of parts and equipment needed for field service operations.
  • Ensure technicians have necessary tools and resources to complete their tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to assess satisfaction and address concerns.
  • Provide administrative support to field service teams as needed.
  • Assist in training new staff in service coordination processes and tools.
  • Maintain excellent communications with customers and internal departments.
  • Monitor and escalate warranty issues with the quality management team.
  • Prepare customer service logs and internal service records.
  • Participate as a core team member on projects.
  • Collaborate with the Director to reduce overtime and increase team efficiency.
  • Work with logistics and shipping companies to organize urgent shipments.
  • Be available to respond to critical emergency situations after hours.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in dispatch, inventory management, and ERP systems.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and technical skills.
  • 3-5 years of experience in field service coordination, scheduling, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in ERP, CRM, and CMMS with a field service focus.
  • Project management skills and ability to provide accurate labor and material cost estimates.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility in off shift scheduling.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Strong technical acumen.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and move products weighing at least 50 lbs.
  • Warehouse experience and inventory control experience preferred.

Work Environment

This position is in-office, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The role requires availability outside standard hours to respond to urgent requests on nights or weekends.

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
