Job Description
Medical Facilities of America is seeking a qualified individual to join our growing team as an Accounts Payable Associate on-site at our Lakewood, NJ office.
As a member of our Accounts Payable team, you’ll process financial transactions, verify vendor invoices, ensure correct expense coding, maintain accurate records, and assist with accounts payable reporting. This position is a strong fit for someone with banking experience who is accustomed to handling financial transactions, balancing accounts, reviewing documentation, and maintaining a high level of accuracy. Current and former bank tellers are encouraged to apply.

Expected pay range of $21–$23 per hour
What you'll do
Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
Review and reconcile vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts payable transactions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor and financial records.
Assist with month-end closing activities.
Generate and analyze accounts payable reports to identify trends and discrepancies.
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.
Perform data-entry tasks while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
Provide support with accounting-related issues as needed.
Perform other duties necessary for the successful operation of the organization.
What you need
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a bank teller or in banking, accounts payable, bookkeeping, financial transaction processing, or a similar role
Strong numerical aptitude and the ability to process financial transactions accurately
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Experience reviewing documentation, reconciling transactions, or resolving discrepancies
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of financial and business information
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with accounting or banking software is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness and ability to learn accounts payable processes and procedures
This is a fully on-site position based in our Lakewood, NJ office. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.
