Trek Food Support

Position OverviewAssists with the preparation, packing, and organization of all trek meals. This role supports the Trek Food Manager by ensuring meals are accurately assembled, inventory is monitored, and the food area is kept clean and orderly. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role contributing directly to trek experiences success. Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately pick, pack, and label trek meals following packing procedures and daily order requirements.Restock shelves and prep stations with food items and packaging supplies as needed.Assist with daily inventory counts, report low stock, and help organize incoming deliveries.Follow packing checklists and labeling standards to ensure consistency and quality.Collaborate with the Trek Food Manager and team to support smooth daily operations and complete assigned tasks.Adjust priorities, order volumes, or tasks as directed by the Trek Food ManagerModel the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions while maintaining Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work areaPerform additional duties assigned by SBR leadershipAbide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbookQualificationsMinimum age: 18+Preferred: Experience in food service or warehouse operations.Ability to complete food handlers training (training provided) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communicationPhysical & Practical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and hike up to 12 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 90 pounds with a partnerComplete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelinesHousing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55Desired TraitsHigh emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focusAdaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skillsAbility to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
