This position provides an important service that helps seniors maintain their health and independence while receiving friendly, respectful support from our team.If you enjoy helping others, working independently, and giving back to your community, we'd love to hear from you! What we offer:Live and on-demand Professional Development opportunitiesEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)401(k) Savings PlanEasterseals Cares Wellness ProgramA culture that supports Work-Life BalanceThe opportunity to make a lasting impact in your community A Snapshot of What You'll Do: Pick up frozen meals from the designated office locationSafely deliver meals to seniors' homes throughout the Palatka areaBring meals into clients' homes when needed and place them on a kitchen counter or other designated locationFollow assigned delivery routes and schedulesProvide friendly, courteous, and respectful service to all clientsHandle meals carefully to maintain food safety and qualityReport concerns regarding client well-being or unusual circumstances to the appropriate supervisorMaintain client confidentiality and privacyFollow all program policies and procedures Qualifications:Valid driver's license and reliable transportation requiredAbility to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required, for program-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)Dependable, punctual, and able to work independentlyAbility to communicate professionally and courteously with older adults and staffAbility to read and follow instructions, policies, delivery routes, and safety proceduresBasic math, problem-solving, and organizational skillsComfortable entering clients' homes to place meals in designated areas when neededAbility to lift and carry up to 25 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and safely enter and exit residencesAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heatNo prior experience required; equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered Easterseals Florida has been rated a Great Place to Work (2020 – 2025) by our employees!
