Railcar Repair Site Manager - Dixie Railcar

Position SummaryThe Site Manager is responsible for overseeing operations RRA locations, managing crew members depending on car flow. This role ensures safe, efficient, and profitable inspection and repair of railroad rolling stock, while maintaining compliance with AAR, FRA, and OSHA standards. The Site Manager leads onboarding and training, drives performance metrics, and communicates effectively with internal teams and railroad partners.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupervise inspections, maintenance, and repair of rolling stock at assigned location(s)Lead onboarding and training for new crew membersMaintain communication structure with RR Ops and CRS teamsStrategize crew scheduling to maximize car flow and site profitabilityEnforce site-specific and Compass safety training requirementsUpdate and manage SDOPs based on operational changesOrganize material staging areas and identify equipment needsEnsure truck and equipment maintenance is documented and up to dateAdjust labor needs based on car flow to meet efficiency goalsManage training documentation and compliance for all assigned employeesMonitor and meet target hours set by estimating team; report deviations  Collaborative DutiesCoordinate with Director of Health and Safety to ensure regulatory complianceWork with Director of Quality to maintain inspection and repair recordsCollaborate with railroads and internal departments (billing, purchasing, scheduling)Respond to emergencies such as derailments or bad order carsSupport Business Development in identifying and qualifying new customersManage MRU call-out work and fill in for other managers as neededMonitors employees worked hours are accurate each day Performance Metrics (KPIs)Safety: Zero infractionsDaily production averagesOnboarding effectivenessLocation efficiencyCommunication of production activities and obstacles  Why Join Us?Health, Dental, Life, and Vision BenefitsVacation and Holiday Pay401K on Day 1Travel reimbursements and more!
