The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating chemistry analyzers such as the Ortho Vitros 5600 or equivalent high-throughput analyzers. This role is responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory testing with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and quality patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform clinical chemistry testing using automated platforms (e.g., Vitros 5600 or equivalent systems)Ensure proper calibration, quality control, and maintenance of laboratory instrumentsAnalyze, verify, and report patient test results in accordance with established protocolsTroubleshoot analyzer issues and perform corrective actions as neededMaintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory standardsAdhere to laboratory safety protocols and infection control standardsAccurately document all procedures, maintenance logs, and quality metricsCollaborate with laboratory staff and leadership to optimize workflow and turnaround timesRequired QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related science field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, or Associate of Science)Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a clinical chemistry settingExperience operating automated analyzers (Vitros 5600 or equivalent platforms)Strong understanding of laboratory quality control and assurance practicesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related fieldCertification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)Direct experience with Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Vitros systemsExperience in high-volume laboratory environmentsWork Environment & ScheduleClinical laboratory setting; Rotating schedule. 6 days on, 7 days off. Weekends and holidays.
