Assistant Vice President for Talent, Culture, and Human ResourcesSt. Ambrose University and the Mount Mercy University campus seek a strategic and collaborative leader to serve as Assistant Vice President for Talent, Culture, and Human Resources. This senior leadership role oversees all HR functions across a growing multi-institution university network.The AVP will partner closely with executive leadership to drive talent excellence, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and foster a high-performing, mission-driven culture across institutions.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on workforce strategy, organizational design, and talent initiativesLead a comprehensive talent strategy including recruitment, onboarding, retention, succession planning, and leadership developmentOversee employee experience initiatives, engagement strategies, and employee relations processesDirect total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, and workforce planningEnsure compliance with federal and state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, Title IX, EEO)Optimize HR operations, systems, and analytics across multiple campusesLead organizational development, performance management, and professional development programsProvide leadership for HR teams across institutions and support future growth and integration opportunitiesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field10+ years of progressive HR leadership experienceDemonstrated expertise in talent management, organizational development, and employment law complianceProficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applicationsProven ability to influence and partner with executive leadershipPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree (MBA, MHR, or related field)Higher education, nonprofit, or multi-entity experienceSHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent certificationExperience leading HR functions across multiple campuses or organizationsBenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.Generous paid time off and holidays.Tuition Remission.Professional development opportunities.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Access to campus amenities, cultural events, and recreational facilities.St. Ambrose University and its affiliate campuses are an inclusive, Catholic and diocesan community of learners empowering all members of that community to act courageously, to seek wisdom through faith and reason, to work for justice and mercy, and to lead lives of service.How to ApplyInterested candidates should submit your resume, cover letter, and contact information for three professional references through our online application portal at https://stambroseuniv.applicantlist.com.
