This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the nuances of job costing, progress billing, WIP reporting, and manufacturing cost flows. If you value clean books, thrive in a fast-paced operational environment, and want to be part of a values-driven team, we want to hear from you.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConstruction AccountingManage construction accounting operations, including job costing, cost-to-complete analysis, and progress billing (AIA billing)Maintain and analyze work-in-progress (WIP) schedules to ensure accurate revenue recognitionCollaborate with project managers and field operations on job cost tracking, change orders, and financial performance by projectMonitor contract profitability and flag cost overruns or margin erosion earlyManufacturing AccountingSupport manufacturing cost accounting, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysisTrack raw material, labor, and overhead costs across production operationsPartner with operations teams to understand cost drivers and support continuous improvement initiativesClose, Reporting & ComplianceAssist Controller with day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliationsDrive month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reportingSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policiesProvide analytical support to CEO and CFOAssist with internal and external audits and provide necessary documentationIdentify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencyOther duties as required.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance5+ years of accounting experience with a strong background in manufacturing and/or construction industriesProven experience with construction progress billing, job costing, and WIP reportingSolid understanding of manufacturing cost accountingStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standardsProficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with project managers, operations, and leadershipWork EnvironmentWe are a faith-based organization rooted in Christian values of respect, integrity, and service.
