Retail General Manager

Are you a proven retail leader with a passion for driving growth, developing talent, and delivering exceptional customer experiences? We're looking for a Retail General Manager to lead the strategic and operational direction of our retail stores.In this high-impact role, you'll work directly with company leadership to shape sales strategies, elevate store performance, and build a strong culture of accountability and excellence across a multi-location retail network.This position is a salary + commissioned role with amounts to be discussed based on experience during the interview process.What You'll Do:Lead & Execute Sales StrategyDrive weekly sales performance through goal alignment and execution.Analyze trends and forecast sales in collaboration with Finance and Leadership.Co-develop commission structures and growth initiatives that motivate teams and meet budget goals.Oversee Store Operations & MerchandisingEnsure brand consistency across stores through high merchandising standards and seasonal floor sets.Manage store promotions and inspect locations for operational excellence and customer satisfaction.Develop Talent & Build TeamsLead monthly Store Manager meetings to support alignment and engagement.Own the full hiring lifecycle for store leadership roles, including training and development.Design product knowledge and customer engagement programs that drive results.Customer & Vendor RelationsServe as a key escalation point for complex customer issues.Manage vendor partnerships and oversee CSI programs to ensure service excellence.Support resolution of claims and lien issues when necessary.Financial & Strategic OversightMonitor store budgets and P&L performance for efficiency and profitability.Work with store leaders to reduce aged inventory and improve stock turnover.Participate in corporate strategy discussions and retail growth planning.What We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field (MBA preferred)7–10+ years of experience in multi-unit retail managementProven leadership in sales, team development, and operational excellenceStrong analytical, forecasting, and budget management skillsConfident communicator and problem-solver with a collaborative mindsetFlooring industry experience is a plusWhy Join Us?Play a key role in shaping the future of a growing, customer-focused retail brandCollaborate closely with executive leadership and make a tangible impactEnjoy flexibility to work remotely after initial onboarding and trainingCompetitive salary, benefits, and travel opportunities to retail locations nationwideBob’s Carpet & Flooring is an EOE and participates in the Federal E-Verify system.
