Primary Care Physician

Job Summary:Vista Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our team in Waukegan, Illinois. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families across all ages. This role focuses on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses while fostering long-term relationships with patients to promote better health outcomes.Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive outpatient care including wellness exams, chronic disease management, and acute care servicesPerform physical examinations, diagnose conditions, and create individualized treatment plansOrder and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs and imagingEducate patients and families on preventive care, health maintenance, and disease managementCollaborate with other specialists and healthcare providers to coordinate patient careMaintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) in accordance with hospital policyParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based clinical guidelinesProvide supervision or support for advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs) as neededParticipate in on-call rotation as assignedQualifications:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degreeBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal MedicineValid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Illinois (or ability to obtain)Current DEA licenseBLS and ACLS certifications (or willing to obtain)Excellent communication, clinical, and interpersonal skillsCommitment to patient safety and high-quality careBenefits:Competitive salary and productivity-based incentivesMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) retirement plan with employer matchPaid time off (PTO), CME days, and CME allowanceMalpractice insurance with tail coverageRelocation assistance, if applicableAbout Vista Medical Center:Vista Medical Center is a community-focused hospital located in Waukegan, Illinois.
