Zip Ride Assistant Manager

Position OverviewIn cooperation with fellow Zip Ride Manager, is responsible for leading a large energetic group of seasonal tour guides and oversees the operation and management of the zip rides at The Summit.Key ResponsibilitiesTrain and manage staff so that they have the knowledge to carry out a safe and fun programResponsible for all paperwork, logs, and inventory control for the programMonitor equipment and facility conditions and report and deficiencies to Aerial DirectorParticipate in periodic performance evaluations of staff and in disciplinary actionsEffectively maintain a training and practitioner experience portfolioModel the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactionsMaintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work areaPerform additional duties assigned by SBR leadershipAbide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbookQualificationsMinimum age: 21+Required: C.O.P.E. Director National Camp School Card (training provided) Preferred: Documented Zip Line work experienceWilling to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communicationPhysical & Practical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 70 poundsComplete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelinesHousing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55Desired TraitsHigh emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focusAdaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skillsAbility to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
