You will utilize your mechanical expertise to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and conduct routine maintenance that keeps our customers fleet running smoothly and efficiently. $1500 sign on bonus after 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities"
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on heavy duty medium duty and pickup trucks to ensure peak operational efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify equipment as needed.
- Inspect and service vehicle systems including tire service, shocks & struts, alignment, HVAC systems, and vehicle electrical components.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.
- Assist in heavy lifting operations using cranes or forklifts while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Support the assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting of complex machinery using detailed schematics and technical documentation.
Experience:
- 3 years + of proven shop experience or extensive background working with heavy truck repair or industrial equipment maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with heavy, medium and pickup trucks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel mechanics including engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes (including air brake systems), and vehicle electrical systems.
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics with the ability to interpret schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues.
- Experience with welding, fabrication techniques, soldering, and the use of power tools for equipment repair or customization.
- Knowledge of automotive repair standards for truck drivers’ vehicle mechanics needs including tire service and vehicle systems maintenance.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during routine inspections or repairs.
