Rhino Medical is seeking MD-qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology physicians for an ongoing locum tenens role supporting inpatient hospital-based care at Cincinnati’s regional hospital. This position delivers obstetric and gynecologic services, including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, emergent surgeries, and emergency department coverage within a laborist model.

This opportunity features 12-hour shifts, with coverage beginning ASAP and continuing into Q1 2027 during a transition to full-time OBHG staffing. Providers will be on-site for entire shifts, with the option to work multiple consecutive 24-hour shifts if desired, practicing in a modern inpatient environment with supporting midwives and EMR documentation using Epic (Stork).

Practice Environment

This hospital-based OB/GYN service operates within a laborist model, providing comprehensive inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care. The environment supports daily patient rounding, deliveries, emergent surgeries, and discharges, with workflow aligned to hospital operations. Providers will partner closely with midwives to support patient management, and documentation is managed via Epic EMR (Stork) in accordance with hospital protocols.

Coverage & Schedule

• 12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00 or 19:00–07:00)
• Provider on-site for entire shift
• Multiple consecutive 24-hour shifts possible
• Coverage begins ASAP and continues into Q1 2027 until full transition
• Call coverage includes gynecology call for ED and beeper/phone call

Clinical Responsibilities

• Vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Emergent gynecologic surgeries

• Daily rounding and discharge planning
• Partnering with midwives for comprehensive patient support
• EMR documentation using Epic (Stork)

Candidate Requirements

• Active Ohio medical license
• DEA registration in Ohio
• MD with Board Certified or Board Eligible status in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Proven clinical experience in vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries, emergent surgeries, and ED gynecology coverage
• Ability to partner with midwives and perform daily patient rounding and discharge responsibilities
• Willingness to work multiple consecutive shifts and start ASAP

Preferred / Helpful Qualifications

• Hospital-based OB/GYN experience preferred
• Familiarity with Epic (Stork) EMR
