Compensation: $36.52 to $59.55 per hour (Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.)

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential (Responsibilities)
Responsibilities
- Assess Patients: Evaluate patients of all ages, get to know their specific needs, and partner with them and their families to set realistic goals.
- Provide Hands-On Therapy: Run treatments using targeted exercises and specialized equipment, adjusting your approach on the fly based on how the patient is progressing.
- Keep the Team in the Loop: Write up clear, timely progress notes and discharge summaries, and collaborate directly with doctors and nurses on care plans.
- Educate and Guide: Teach patients and families about their recovery process so they feel confident and safe managing their health.
- Mentor Others: Help supervise PT students, aides, and volunteers, and share your knowledge with the rest of the therapy team.
What You'll Bring (Qualifications)
- Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Licensure: An active New York State Physical Therapist license (or eligibility to get one) and a passed state exam
- Certification and Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) (or obtained at time of hire) and a valid NYS Driver's License.
- Skills:
- Clinical Knowledge: Solid understanding of physical therapy treatments and medical terminology.
- Patient Assessment: Ability to evaluate clinical data and create clear recovery goals.
- Problem-Solving: Confidence to make independent decisions.
- Communication: Warm, clear style for explaining evaluation results to families.
- Teaching Ability: Skill to instruct patients of all ages on safe movement and exercises.
- Tech Comfort: Experience using computers and standard office or clinical documentation software.
