You will play a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetic and performance of athletic wear, contributing directly to the brand’s legacy of excellence and inspiring athletes globally.

About the Company

Our client is a global pioneer in athletic apparel, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of performance and style. They are at the forefront of design and innovation, creating products that empower athletes and influence culture worldwide. Joining their team means contributing to a legacy of groundbreaking design and making a tangible difference in the world of sports.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to apply your expertise in design and innovation to a high-visibility initiative, converting hundreds of existing uniform styles into a new, advanced design chassis. You will be instrumental in evolving the visual identity and functional performance of team apparel, working at the intersection of creativity and technical execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design conversion of existing uniform styles into an innovative new design framework, requiring the creation of new apparel design specifications and detailed line art.
  • For some designs, create simple sublimation artwork or update existing sublimation schematic work, potentially including trim schematic work, in partnership with internal studio teams.

  • Engage in regular, critical check-ins with cross-functional design, development, and product partners to ensure seamless translation and execution.
  • Collaborate with product management to understand prioritization and with development teams on execution strategies.
  • Troubleshoot problem areas and confirm translation execution with cross-functional teams weekly or bi-weekly.

Who You’ll Work With

You will partner closely with cross-functional design, product, and development teams, collaborating to convert a large volume of athletic uniforms into a new innovation framework. Your ability to work effectively with internal studio teams for graphic execution and engage in regular check-ins will be critical to the project’s success. This role demands a highly collaborative spirit, working with various stakeholders to achieve a unified vision for design transformation.

What You’ll Bring (Must-Have Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional design experience, specifically working with materials, trims, design principles, and fit.
  • Exceptional ability to apply foundational design skills, including illustration, across both analog and digital platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with a proven track record of successful cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated creative agility, a positive attitude, self-awareness, and the capability to manage complex, competing priorities effectively through ambiguity to completion.

What Will Set You Apart (Nice-to-Have Qualifications)

  • Experience with Vizcom, 3D design software, or Miro.
  • Expertise in graphic design, including the ability to create simple graphic schematics for sublimation artwork.
