Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for:
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
· Minimum two years of recent acute-care CT experience, with the ability to work independently upon completion of orientation. Must be proficient with ED/trauma patients, STAT exams, stroke and angiography protocols, IV starts, oral/IV contrast screening and administration, power injectors, patient monitoring, safe positioning and PACS/RIS documentation.
· Current competency in both CT and general diagnostic radiography, including routine X-ray, portable imaging, fluoroscopy and C-arm imaging in the OR.
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
· Previous experience in a Level I, II or III trauma hospital, including independently covering evenings, nights, weekends or call and managing acute or difficult-to-position patients.
· Experience with GE CT/X-ray equipment, Meditech
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
· Routine and emergent CT examinations per facility protocols, including head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine and extremities; trauma studies; stroke imaging and CTA head/neck; CTA chest for pulmonary embolism or dissection; renal-stone studies; contrast-enhanced examinations; scheduled outpatient studies
· Routine diagnostic and portable radiography for ED, inpatient and scheduled patients, including chest, abdomen, orthopedic and trauma imaging; bedside exams; fluoroscopy; and C-arm support during surgical procedures.

· Calm, adaptable and service-oriented team member who works well with minimal supervision, communicates effectively with physicians, nursing, surgery and patients, and willingly transitions between CT, ED, general radiology and OR assignments as patient-care priorities change
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
· ARRT(R), ARRT(CT), current BLS for Healthcare Provider. Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
