Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) in the inpatient and acute inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role involves planning and conducting treatment programs aimed at restoring and improving patients' physical functions. The position requires serving as a co-leader within an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Not specified
- Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts with start time approximately 08:00 to 16:30. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree (required if obtained license on or after January 2016, or foreign equivalent); two years' physical therapy experience (preferred); physical therapy licensure in the state of practice (required); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (required).
- Preferred Qualifications: EPIC electronic medical records experience.
- Essential Functions: Conducts evaluations to assess patient needs; applies appropriate clinical techniques; develops individualized treatment and discharge plans; ensures comprehensive clinical documentation; supervises assigned assistants; performs additional clinical duties as needed.
- Additional Information: The position covers inpatient and acute inpatient rehabilitation (no outpatient), including ortho, neuro, ICU, and acute rehab units. Flexibility to work weekends is required, with potential schedules including all weekends with a compensation day during the week, every other weekend, or a mutually agreed rotation.
