About the position
The Computed Tomography Technologist (CT) reports to the manager of CT and director of radiology. Under general supervision, the CT Technologist performs high quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging from newborn through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician
Shift: Will work Fri-Sun, 3x12s 6:00p-6:30a
Is on-call REQ? Yes – on call rotation among staff members Monday-Thursday. Call is 5p-6a. They would be called if someone called out for their shift (usually 3rd shift) or if they get extremely busy and have multiple traumas come in and the tech working needs help. Call would not be every week; more like every 4-5 weeks.
Will this traveler float between service lines? No

Years of experience REQ: 1 year
First-timers accepted: Yes
National Certs REQ: BLS, ARRT (CT), SCRQSA (CT)
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (CT), as well as Computed Tomography and South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. American Heart Association (AHA) BLS also required.
Minimum Training and Education: Graduated from an accredited school of radiologic technology or a student clinical rotation with ARRT certification by end of rotation.
Pending State License accepted: No, must have in hand at time of start
Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers
Special Requirements: We perform inpatient, outpatient (Friday only), ER and scheduled interventional cases (Friday only).
Required skills: be able to start IV, Contrast, Biopsies, PACS system.
