Salary $135k-$250k
The senior manager will help us carry out our mission by 1) having a passion to

all members of the team providing an excellent service to our clients, and 4)
continuously challenging the “norm” and how we may change the structure of public
accounting, through firm initiatives and strategic planning. Senior managers will not
only offer countless hours of training and one-on-one coaching to new managers,
supervisors, seniors, associates, and interns, but they will also be asked to commit
to meetings and gatherings focused on firm improvement (generosity of time).
Ultimately, the senior manager will be a champion in several technical areas due to
their depth of expertise. The senior manager will also be a leader in the firm when it
comes to their focus on continuous improvement in all aspects of our business.
PURPOSE The Senior Manager is responsible for leading a profitable functional area of the
practice - leading the team, building the business and ensuring the team delivers
exceptional client service.
This role also supports the business development and growth initiatives of the
practice and is responsible for retaining talented people through strong leadership
and coaching/mentoring relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and nurtures long-term relationships with client senior management.
Develops solutions for clients and champions the implementation of ideas.
Reviews and confirms assignment objectives, scope and work plan with client.
Identifies assignment resource requirements and ensures the most
appropriate resources are assigned to specific assignment roles.
Anticipates, identifies and resolves complex tax-technical issues.
Seeks regular client assessment of assignment progress and overall feedback
on performance/value add.
Develops assignment budgets and monitors realization.
Works with the partner group to generate leads, contacts and sales –
including developing and closing assignment proposals.
Manages the group to ensure profitability in the short and long term.

Supports the partner team in identifying and promoting the development of
new delivery capabilities and/or channels to satisfy evolving market
requirements.
Supports the partner team in the development and planning of practice unit
strategy, objectives, and budgets.
Development of industry expertise and profiling of the firm.
Identifies and develops new initiatives to increase retention, meet resourcing
needs, utilization and people development.
Builds on strong coaching skills to mentor key talented managers in the
business.
Stays current on applicable tax law changes and other regulatory updates and
communicates updates to the team and impacted clients.
Willing to take tough stands with clients (internal and external) and with staff;
delivers sensitive messages with diplomacy and tact.
