Job Overview

We are a family of six seeking a professional, full-time nanny/assistant to join us as our trusted family assistant. The ideal candidate is highly experienced, reliable, and discreet. This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic family schedule.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of the family's calendar and ensuring that the family members are picked up from school and get to various appointments, events, and activities across San Antonio.
• Maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality at all times.
• Run errands throughout the day.
• Oversee all of the household shopping from groceries to supplies to any speciality items for events.
• Develop a weekly menu and find recipes that provide the family with a healthy and varied menu plan.
• Adapt to last-minute schedule changes with professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Anticipate logistical needs and proactively plan errands based on the scheduling.
• Ensuring safety and security for the children at all times.
• Attending to all of children's needs including: feeding, taking them to school, daily cooking, washing/keeping inventory of their clothes and accessories, preparing simple meals, cleaning bathroom and supplies.
• Keeping the children active with indoor and outdoor activities.
• Ensuring the children’s areas are tidy.
• Assist with extra-curricular activities and homework.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of San Antonio and surrounding areas.
• Clean driving record and valid Texas driver’s license.
• Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of family privacy.
• Professional demeanor, punctuality, and strong communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varying hours within a Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional evening or weekend needs when needed.
• Have valid passport (preferred)
• Ability to travel domestically

Preferred Qualities:

• Loyal, hard-working, and dedicated to long-term employment.
• Calm under pressure, especially in changing circumstances.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Accountability and ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Bilingual but must be able to speak English.
• Experience in the home schooling realm.
