Job Summary:
X-ray Technologist position located in an unspecified location. This role involves proficient operation of Siemens general radiography equipment, Carestream portable units, OEC C-arms, and Medtronic O-arm systems. Candidates must possess current operating room experience with C-arms and O-arms, and be able to support various radiology procedures including plain film imaging, operating room exams, and portable exams. The position requires a minimum of 24 months of hospital or medical center X-ray experience, along with active radiology licensure in the state.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, with a schedule of 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 24 months of current X-ray experience (hospital/medical center experience prioritized); experience using Siemens fixed equipment; experience with Carestream portable units; highly preferred experience with GE OEC C-arms; required experience with surgical fluoroscopy; proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records; current/recent operating room experience due to occasional OR cases; ability to support all age groups depending on shift; highly preferred Level I trauma experience; required Level II trauma experience; preferred pediatric experience; active Iowa radiology license highly preferred, with candidates able to attest and apply at acceptance; ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; and drivers license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with all age groups; Level I trauma experience; pediatric experience; active license in Iowa preferred.
- Additional Information:
The candidate must be proficient in operating room environments, including working with C-arms and O-arms, and supporting all radiology areas such as plain films, portable exams, and OR procedures. Scrub attire is charcoal gray tops and bottoms. The assignment involves working across campuses including Iowa Lutheran, Methodist West, and Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Submission requirements include a prompt phone call or text from a 405 area code. Orientation dates are scheduled for 9/8 and 9/14, with a minimum of 24 months of recent X-ray experience required. Candidates must have an active Iowa radiology license, with licensing turnaround typically within 1-3 weeks.
