Job Summary:
The CT (Computed Tomography) Technologist position is located in North Adams, Massachusetts. This role involves performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily focused on CT scans, with some X-ray experience required. The technologist will work during evening shifts, providing critical support in patient diagnosis and ensuring adherence to departmental protocols.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evenings, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Massachusetts Radiology License; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; 2 years current CT (Computed Tomography) and X-ray experience; previous travel experience of at least 6 months or more; agency experience of at least 6 months to 1 year; ability to operate PACS, HIS, RIS systems; proficiency in troubleshooting CT and X-ray equipment; willingness to perform primary diagnostic CT and radiology tasks including IV injections and insertions; own vehicle required; prior experience with Meditech Expanse highly preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience and agency experience are preferred, with at least 6 months in each; familiarity with low census duties and other responsibilities within scope of practice
- Additional Information: Perform diagnostic radiology and CT scan procedures independently or under supervision; practice infection control in accordance with policies and OSHA standards; maintain patient confidentiality; complete annual mandatory education including bloodborne pathogens; adhere to scheduling and RTO (Request for Time Off) policies, with RTO requests documented prior to submission and no more than 5 days accepted; no scheduling requests at or after time of offer.
