🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures (cardiac & vascular)
- Function as a scrub assistant, maintaining sterile field throughout procedures
- Operate and monitor advanced imaging equipment in both procedure and control rooms
- Document procedure details, images, and patient data accurately
- Provide direct patient care under RN supervision
- Educate patients and families on pre/post-procedure expectations
- Maintain inventory and ensure readiness for complex interventions
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Ensure compliance with hospital standards and protocols
🧠 Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab / Cardiovascular Lab
- Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and imaging systems
- Ability to function in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
Preferred:
- 2+ years of Cath Lab / Cardiology experience
🎓 Education & Certifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One of the following required:
- ARRT (Registered Radiologic Technologist)
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) – within 18 months
- RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
- RRT with cardiovascular certification
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- Fluoroscopy Certification
Preferred:
- Associate’s Degree
