About the Role
We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care, including psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment planning.
You will work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and clinical staff to deliver integrated, evidence-based care while building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and establish diagnoses
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide medication management and follow-up care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other providers
- Educate patients and families on treatment options
- Participate in case discussions and interdisciplinary care
Qualifications
- Active New York Nurse Practitioner license
- Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Completion of required New York collaborative practice requirements, if applicable
- Experience conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management
- Experience providing psychotherapy is preferred
- Experience with ketamine infusions is a plus
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
