Employment Type: Full-Time
Industry: Multifamily Property Management
Language Requirement: Bilingual – English & Spanish

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly professional Bilingual Assistant Property Manager (APM) to support the day-to-day operations of a multifamily apartment community. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated property management professional who is confident handling resident relations, rent collections, delinquency, leasing, administrative operations, and financial responsibilities while supporting the Property Manager in maintaining a successful community. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, solution-oriented, and comfortable balancing customer service with the financial and operational responsibilities of the property. Previous multifamily property management experience is strongly preferred. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Property Manager with daily community operations
  • Manage resident accounts, rent collections, and delinquency follow-up
  • Communicate professionally with residents regarding balances, lease requirements, policies, and account concerns
  • Assist with notices, payment arrangements, and collection documentation
  • Maintain accurate resident files, records, and property management system information
  • Assist with leasing activities, applications, move-ins, renewals, transfers, and move-outs
  • Review lease documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Respond to resident concerns and work toward timely, professional resolutions
  • Assist with resident retention efforts and renewal follow-up
  • Coordinate with maintenance and office teams regarding resident and property needs
  • Assist with reports, invoices, deposits, and other administrative or financial responsibilities
  • Support occupancy, collections, and property performance goals
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling resident and financial information
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing requirements, company policies, and established procedures
  • Assume additional property responsibilities in the Property Manager's absence as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Previous multifamily, apartment management, or closely related property management experience
  • Experience with resident relations and customer service
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive resident and financial matters professionally
  • Strong computer and administrative skills
  • Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

Highly Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Assistant Property Manager experience
  • Experience with rent collections and delinquency management
  • Apartment leasing and renewal experience
  • Experience with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, RealPage, ResMan, AppFolio, or similar platforms
  • Experience preparing notices, reports, deposits, invoices, or resident account documentation
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing guidelines and multifamily housing regulations
  • Experience supporting occupancy, collections, and resident retention goals

Who Will Excel in This Role?:

We are looking for someone who can be a true right hand to the Property Manager.

The strongest candidate will be confident managing resident concerns, following up on delinquent accounts, supporting leasing efforts, maintaining accurate documentation, and helping keep the property's daily operations organized and on track.

You should be able to remain professional during difficult conversations, take initiative without constant direction, and understand the importance of both resident satisfaction and the financial performance of the community.

If you are an experienced multifamily professional ready to take the next step in your property management career, we encourage you to apply.
