Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Design Control Technician to support engineering and manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings, creating and maintaining work orders, ensuring technical documentation is accurate and complete, and supporting the Design Control function with technical information.

This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing or industrial environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Generate engineering drawings in accordance with applicable engineering requirements, specifications, and licensing standards.
  • Prepare and maintain work orders with accurate and complete technical information.
  • Ensure the appropriate procedures, instructions, prints, and engineering drawings are included in work order packages.
  • Maintain proprietary thread print files and related technical documentation.
  • Assist the Design Control Manager with gathering and organizing technical information for existing jobs and new designs.
  • Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to obtain required technical information and documentation.
  • Maintain organized engineering and production records.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Perform additional duties related to design control and technical documentation as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, trade school education, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Industry experience, preferably in a manufacturing, engineering, machining, or industrial environment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work with technical documentation and file systems.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
  • Familiarity with machining or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Experience preparing work orders or production documentation.
  • Familiarity with document control or engineering change processes.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and procedures.
