Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology/X-Ray Technologist with 1+ year of experience for an acute care hospital setting requiring CA licensure, ARRT (R), and BLS.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting with 150 staffed beds
  • Adult acute care and outpatient patient population
  • Performs general radiographic procedures including chest, abdomen, spine, extremities, and skull studies
  • Performs fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, upper GI series, and contrast enema
  • Performs mobile and C-arm procedures including portable chest and abdomen
  • Uses GE and Toshiba equipment along with PACS and Fuji Synapse systems
  • Epic charting system required
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
  • On-call requirements apply
  • Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology/X-Ray Technologist
  • Active CA state license required if applicable
  • ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
  • Fluoroscopy certification required
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media
  • Experience starting peripheral IVs preferred
  • Experience with barium enema studies (air and single contrast) preferred
  • Experience in adult outpatient settings preferred

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are accepted for this role
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • A 50-mile radius rule applies
  • Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
  • RTO must be submitted at time of consideration
  • Black scrubs required for Radiology staff
  • Free parking available on first day, with assignment parking details provided during orientation
