Occupational Therapist (OT) – Inpatient Rehab

Location: Alpena, Michigan
Facility: MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena
Department: Inpatient Rehabilitation
Discipline: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Shift: Days – 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday, possible holidays
Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours/week
Contract: 13 weeks
Start Date: 09/16/2026
EMR: Epic

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to inpatient rehabilitation patients.
• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide OT interventions to improve functional independence and daily living skills.
• Assist patients with mobility, self-care, and ADL-related activities.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, PT, and other rehabilitation team members.
• May float to acute care as needed.
• Document patient care and therapy services in Epic.

Requirements

• Occupational Therapist (OT) – Required
• Inpatient Rehab (IPR) experience preferred
• Michigan OT license/appropriate state licensure required.
• Ability to work Monday–Friday.
• Comfortable potentially floating to acute care.
• Experience with inpatient rehabilitation preferred.
