AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson Therapy Partners to find a qualified Physical Therapist (PT) in Tawas City, Michigan, 48763!


Physical Therapist — Outpatient / Hospital (Direct Hire)


We’re looking for a Physical Therapist to take on a full-time role with an area hospital in Tawas City, MI. You will evaluate, develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans for patients in primarily outpatient settings with some acute care coverage. This role delegates to PTAs and aides, requires coordination with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and includes patient and family education, documentation for billing, and occasional case management responsibilities.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active Physical Therapist state license required prior to start.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required within one month of hire; highly preferred to have at hire.
  • Successful completion of facility-specific orientation and new hire competency requirements.
  • Experience functioning in outpatient physical therapy and some acute care coverage preferred.
  • Ability to supervise PT Assistants, aides, and students per regulatory and affiliate standards.
  • Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Windows and electronic documentation systems.
  • Ability to perform medium physical demands: occasionally lift/carry 21–50 lbs., frequently 20 lbs., and frequently walk/stand; ability to don personal protective equipment and follow infection control protocols.
  • Willingness to complete annual OSHA training and comply with bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required.


Schedule and Shift Details:

  • Days.
  • Typical hours: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM Monday–Thursday; 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Friday.
  • No weekends. No holidays.
  • Position type: Direct hire. 52-week role with start date in late June.


Job Responsibilities (select):

  • Evaluate patient function using formal and informal measures to determine musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status.
  • Develop and submit goal-specific treatment plans and update plans of care as patient status changes.
  • Provide treatment interventions and demonstrate competence to restore optimal functioning for assigned caseload.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on pathology, prognosis, and home exercise programs.
  • Document patient response to treatment and complete required billing documentation per affiliate policy.
  • Recommend adaptive and supportive equipment and assist in ordering and securing equipment for patients.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and community education as requested.

  • Experience at the Physical Therapist I level with outpatient emphasis preferred.
