Job Description
Qualifications:
· Demonstrated ability to lead teams and provide design mentorship to staff engineers.
· In-depth knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and aviation regulations.
· Advanced proficiency in engineering, construction means and methods, and management principles.
· Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills required.
· Efficient time management methods.
· A strong work ethic, high EQ, teamwork, adaptability, conflict resolution skills.
· Self-motivated.
· Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and design accuracy.
· Proficient in use of computers: Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.; Adobe Pro; Bluebeam; Primavera or compatible software for Project Schedule.
· Knowledge of the following areas is desirable: Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD); Revit; AutoCAD; Building Information Modeling (BIM)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engineering Design
· Lead the development and review of engineering designs, calculations, and specifications for airport facilities and systems.
· Oversee preparation of technical drawings and reports in compliance with local, state, and federal codes, standards, and regulations.
· Perform technical reviews of engineering design drawings and calculations.
· Provide design oversight through construction including submittal approval, shop drawing review, and inspections to verify design implementation.
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and design staff.
· Coordinate with applicable regulatory agencies and authorities having jurisdiction; ensure compliance with permitting requirements as necessary.
· Maintain up to date Master Design Guidelines and Technical Specifications.
Oversee asset management by using inspection programs and condition assessments to update the Capital Improvement Program
