Location: Tucson, AZ | Payrate: $26.44/hour | Schedule: 2nd shift, 2pm to 10:30pm
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in the electronics manufacturing industry to hire an Associate Engineer, Test Manufacturing for a Direct Hire opportunity. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring manufacturing test equipment performs at its best—improving product quality, increasing efficiency, and supporting innovative electronic products from development through production.
What You'll Do
As an Associate Engineer, Test Manufacturing, you'll be responsible for supporting and enhancing manufacturing test processes by:
Developing, qualifying, and implementing test applications into manufacturing operations under guidance and supervision.
Repairing, maintaining, and improving manual and automated test equipment to ensure reliable performance.
Troubleshooting and resolving equipment failures quickly to minimize manufacturing downtime and restore production.
Optimizing test processes to improve productivity, reduce cycle times, and increase manufacturing yield.
Troubleshooting and debugging test solutions provided by customers and external vendors.
Assisting with test optimization by analyzing customer and production feedback to improve test coverage, diagnostics, reparability, firmware, and overall user experience.
Supporting Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) initiatives through continuous improvement of tester performance, yield, and test time.
Collaborating with engineering, operations, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality manufacturing solutions.
Prioritizing multiple assignments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting production deadlines.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
At least 5 years of experience working with manufacturing test equipment.
Strong understanding of electrical circuits and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Experience troubleshooting manufacturing test equipment and resolving equipment failures in a production environment.
Experience using electrical test equipment, including:
Oscilloscopes
Multimeters
Logic analyzers
Function generators
ICT systems
Flying probe equipment
Soldering equipment
Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
Ability to work onsite.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of Linux.
Experience supporting automated manufacturing test environments.
Familiarity with test process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies.
