IMMEDIATE OPENINGS: Fiber Splicers - Data Center

We are immediately hiring experienced Fiber Splicers to support the deployment of critical fiber infrastructure for hyperscale data center and mission-critical construction projects. This position will be responsible for fiber splicing, cable preparation, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation in fast-paced construction environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with high-count fiber cables, ribbon splicing, and fiber testing equipment. Candidates with strong fiber fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and data center experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Location: Travel/Project-Based, with primary project locations in Dallas, TX and Manassas, VA

Hours: Consistent 60-70 hours per week with steady project work and long-term opportunities.

Compensation: $32.00-$38.00/hour (based on experience, qualifications, and data center fiber background)

Per Diem: $68/day for eligible travelers

Housing: Company-provided lodging for employees traveling more than 50 miles from their designated home location. Housing costs are fully covered for qualifying projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform fusion splicing and termination of single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables.
• Work with high-count fiber cable configurations, including 8x64, 69x12, and 64-count fiber.
• Complete ribbon splicing and other advanced splicing methods.
• Prepare and dress fiber cables, including: 17/28, 34/56, 8/64, 69/12 configurations
• Conduct fiber testing using OTDRs, OLTS, and light meters.
• Troubleshoot failed fiber links, excessive loss readings, and connectivity issues.
• Read and interpret fiber matrices, splice schematics, and project drawings.
• Maintain accurate test results and as-built documentation.
• Follow all site safety requirements and quality standards.
• Collaborate with technicians, leads, and project teams to meet project deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of fiber splicing experience preferred.
• Candidates with 1+ year of splicing experience will be considered if they have:
• • Data center fiber experience
  • Strong fiber optic fundamentals
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven reliability and professionalism
• Experience with ribbon splicing or similar high-density splicing methods.
• Experience preparing high-count fiber cables.
• Ability to troubleshoot fiber networks and identify loss issues.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
