Senior Civil Engineer: Build Projects Everyone Talks About
Position Overview
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced engineer who wants a larger seat at the table, greater influence on project outcomes, and the chance to work alongside respected professionals tackling some of the region's most challenging development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- - Lead land development projects from planning and entitlement through design and construction. - Direct multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. - Oversee grading, drainage, utility, stormwater, and roadway design efforts. - Review engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, and specifications. - Manage schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client expectations. - Serve as a key point of contact for clients, agencies, and project partners. - Guide projects through permitting and regulatory review processes. - Mentor engineers and designers while fostering technical excellence. - Participate in business development, client relationship management, and project pursuits. - Support quality assurance and quality control initiatives across project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or greater in Civil Engineering or related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
- 7+ in civil engineering design, land development, and utility systems.
- Advanced proficiency with Civil 3D and strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience with drainage design, H&H modeling, and stormwater management practices.
- Familiarity with construction management and construction administration practices.
- Experience performing plan reviews and navigating permitting processes with municipal agencies.
- Strong communication, project management, and client-facing skills; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor staff.
