Job Description
Responsibilities
Manage W/WWTP construction projects from startup through project completion.
Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely project delivery.
Oversee project buyout activities with estimating teams.
Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, field orders, and project documentation.
Lead planning meetings, progress meetings, and coordination meetings.
Prepare agendas and facilitate project planning discussions.
Execute cost-to-complete reports and project financial forecasting.
Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance.
Review and approve subcontractor and vendor payment applications.
Analyze subcontractor billings and contract compliance.
Track project materials, equipment, and procurement activities.
Coordinate with estimating teams to develop cost proposals and owner estimates.
Administer construction contracts and resolve contract-related issues.
Manage subcontractor performance, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
Coordinate payments with subcontractors and suppliers.
Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure successful project execution.
Mentor and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
Maintain project logs, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, delays, and field directives.
Participate in professional industry organizations and continuous professional development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Equivalent education or relevant construction experience may be considered.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
5-10 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer.
Minimum 5 years of heavy civil construction experience with Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant (W/WWTP) projects.
Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment construction, including mechanical, electrical, and process integration systems.
Experience managing medium-sized heavy civil infrastructure projects.
Strong negotiation and subcontractor management skills.
Knowledge of project cost control, financial reporting, and cost-to-complete forecasting.
Experience with construction contracts, contract administration, and dispute resolution.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to travel and perform field-based project management activities.
