Job Description
Job Title: Strategy & Communications Process & Implementation Contractor – Integrated Evidence Planning (IEP)
Employer of Record: ATR International
End Client: Gilead Sciences / Kite Pharma
Location: 333 Lakeside Dr, Foster City, CA (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $51/hr
Job Summary:
ATR International is seeking a Process & Implementation Contractor to support Gilead's Medical Affairs Strategy & Communications team. This role is centered on the operational design, rollout, and governance of the Integrated Evidence Planning (IEP) process — owning IEP as the primary operational lead and project process manager, standing up governance forums, and translating strategy into executable workflows and timelines. The role also supports coordination across the Scientific Communication Platform (SCP) and Integrated Medical Communication Plan (IMCP) workstreams, but the core focus and majority of scope is IEP.
This is an operational support role suited to someone with a strong process improvement mindset who can bring structure, governance, and system adoption to a fast-moving, matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end operational design, implementation, and management of the IEP process across Medical Affairs
- Stand up and run IEP governance forums — agendas, pre-reads, decision documentation, action tracking
- Lead IEP rollout and change management, including stakeholder onboarding, communications, and training
- Translate IEP strategy into executable workflows, timelines, and deliverables
- Maintain end-to-end visibility into IEP execution, proactively flagging risks and mitigation plans
- Support coordination and alignment across SCP, IMCP, and IEP where workstreams intersect
- Partner with IT, Digital, and vendors on system capabilities and digital enablement for IEP tools/platforms
- Develop and maintain standardized templates, workflows, and guidance
- Drive continuous improvement based on user feedback and performance insights
- Serve as a central coordination point across global, cross-functional stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (engineering background strongly preferred)
- 6+ years of experience in project/program management, ideally within life sciences or a regulated, matrixed environment
- Demonstrated process improvement mindset — able to design, implement, and optimize operational workflows
- Proven track record managing programs with cross-functional/matrixed teams
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into clear, actionable content
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders
- Comfortable operating under pressure across parallel projects and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience with Integrated Evidence Planning (IEP) or similar evidence-generation planning processes
- Formal PM certification (PMP, Six Sigma, Agile)
- Experience standing up governance models or leading process rollouts
- Experience with digital tools supporting planning/evidence generation
- Engineering or technical background
Note: Candidates with a Medical Writer background (without direct project/process management experience) will not be considered for this role.
