MRI Technologist (Radiology Tech - MRI) travel assignment in a hospital setting, Potsdam, NY. Start date: 08/31/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $2,287–$2,334 per week. Shift: 3×12-hour days. This assignment features one MRI room and a Siemens Espree 1.5T large bore scanner. Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations across multiple modalities and body regions (brain, spine, abdomen, pelvis, breasts, extremities; MRCP, MRA/MRV as applicable)
- Prepare and administer contrast media; operate BRACCO power injector; monitor for adverse reactions
- Position patients, ensure comfort and safety, and obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Utilize advanced imaging techniques and post-processing (T1/T2, diffusion, gradient echo, spin echo; surface coils; MIP/MPR) and manage image quality
- Start peripheral IVs for contrast administration and document results in the medical record
- Document procedures accurately in EPIC and communicate findings with the interpreting team as required
- May float to related units per coverage needs and participate in shift coverage
- Complete pre-start modules prior to assignment start (modules are billable up to 5 hours; total module time may reach 10 hours)
Requirements
- New York state license in-hand for submittal
- BLS certification
- EPIC experience is a hard requirement
- MRI technologist experience of 1–2 years (minimum to be confirmed with hiring manager)
- Pre-start training/modules required; time may be billable (up to 5 hours; total up to 10 hours)
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine status not specified
