We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Analytical and Reporting Analyst to join our team at K&A Power Group in Augusta, Maine. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Role Expectations:
- Perform a wide range of analytical assignments, resolving recurring issues independently with minimal supervision.
- Parse, clean, and organize complex datasets; present findings in clear, meaningful formats for project leadership.
- Analyze project financials, budgets, forecasts, and cost trends to support decision-making.
- Track project performance metrics, including schedule progress, cost variances, earned value, and productivity indicators.
- Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, cost models, and risk registers.
- Identify potential issues or upcoming needs and proactively recommend solutions.
- Assist in invoice review, cost reconciliation, and financial closeout activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment.
- Maintain documentation, logs, and audit-ready records in accordance with company and client standards.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, algorithms, and other analytical functions.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience supporting projects in one or more of the following areas: Substations, Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Gas-Hydro, or OSG.
- Prior experience in project controls, cost analysis, financial analysis, or project reporting preferred.
- Ability to interpret financial data, budgets, and schedules with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Position is onsite
Pay Range $66,000—$70,000/yearly
