Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in EP-specific procedures, scrubbing, and monitoring.

Details

  • Work in a hospital cardiac catheterization lab within the Heart Hospital Region
  • Assist with diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral procedures including arteriograms, catheterizations, and permanent pacemaker implantations
  • Perform EP-specific procedures, scrubbing, and patient monitoring
  • 4x10 hour AM shifts, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab and EP-specific procedures
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • RCIS or ARRT certification required
  • Active TX license required if applicable
  • Experience with scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring patients during procedures
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and invasive cardiac/vascular instrumentation and techniques
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Flu vaccination required with no exemptions granted

Additional Information

  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional coronary, peripheral, and thrombolytic therapy procedures
  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields, print film, and calculate stenosis on peripheral cases
  • Monitor patient ECG and vital signs during catheterization procedures and respond to emergencies as needed
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care, orientation, and transport
  • Document and calculate catheterization data including gradients, LV grams, and cardiac outputs
  • Maintain inventory and ensure procedure rooms are properly stocked and equipment is safe to use
  • Follow national and state radiation protection regulations
  • Scrubs provided by facility
  • Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
