Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technologist in the specialty area of Cardiac Cath Lab. This healthcare professional role involves providing specialized technical support for interventional cardiac procedures within a high-volume, interdisciplinary Cardiac Interventional Center of Excellence. The position requires recent experience in interventional scrub procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, device placements, and structural interventions.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Active Maryland or Compact License, ARRT-R and/or RCIS certification, BLS, and ACLS are required. A minimum of two years of recent interventional scrub experience in a cardiac cath lab setting is necessary.
  • Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts from 06:30 to 17:00, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. On-call coverage is required, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with up to 13 weekdays on call during the week.
  • Responsibilities: Assist with high medical complexity procedures including IABP, Rotablator, Shockwave, PFO, TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman. Maintain sterile technique, prepare equipment, monitor hemodynamics, interpret dysrhythmias, and support various specialized procedures within the cath lab and hybrid operating room. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and ensure inventory and equipment are maintained and sterile procedures are followed.
  • Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric patients receiving interventional cardiac procedures.
  • Additional Requirements: Willingness to float as needed, compliance with all certification and licensing protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
