RN LTC Unit Manager - $15,000 Sign-On Bonus

Job Summary:

Mount Joseph at Waterville is seeking a talented and experienced RN Unit Manager to join our team. As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operations of a LTC unit at the facility. Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, demonstrating our values and providing a calm and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff

  • Establish and maintain departmental procedures to support operational functions

  • Assist in maintaining the department budget and ordering equipment and supplies as needed

  • Determine departmental staffing requirements and assist in recruitment, interviewing, and selection of personnel

  • Monitor workflow and staffing levels to ensure proper care and optimal resident outcomes

  • Evaluate, develop, mentor, coach, counsel, and discipline department staff

  • Participate in community surveys and develop plans to address deficiencies

  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and maintain accurate records

  • Assist in developing and implementing in-service training programs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state

  • Current CPR Certification

  • Training and/or experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices

  • Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred

  • 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, long-term care environment, or other related healthcare facility

  • Superior customer service skills and professionalism

  • Flexibility to adapt to ongoing change and work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment

  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft product suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
