RN Staff Development Coordinator

RN Staff Development 

The primary purpose of the Staff Development RN is to provide educational programs throughout the facility in accordance with facility policy and procedures the follow federal, state guidelines and regulations.

Plan, develop, organize direct, evaluate and coordinate educational and on-the-job training.

Develop, evaluate and oversight of new hire orientation.

Secure, develop and maintain records, reports, instructional manuals, reference materials, etc., pertinent to educational programs.

1. Must possess a current, unencumbered, State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license.

2. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.

3. Must have nursing home experience as an RN Supervisor (or similar)

4. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

5. Must be detail oriented and organized.

6. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public

7. Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other department personnel.

8. Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing training practices.

8. Must possess the ability to plan and develop new programs as needed.

9. Must be willing to supervise as needed to meet the staffing needs of the facility

Must be willing to participate in the RN on-call rotation
