Position: RN/LPN Unit Manager
Facility: Beach Breeze Rehab and Care
Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Salary: $77,500 - $87,500 annually
Shift: Full-Time
Beach Breeze Rehab and Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN/LPN Unit Manager to lead and support our nursing team in delivering exceptional care. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical and leadership skills, a passion for patient-centered care, and a commitment to quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities:Support the Director and Associate Director of Nursing in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing department.
Ensure nursing staff are performing according to their job descriptions and professional standards.
Participate in state and federal surveys and inspections.
Assist in the development and implementation of individualized resident care plans.
Oversee LPN and CNA evaluations, and handle staff disciplinary actions, hiring, and terminations as needed.
Monitor staffing levels to maintain quality care on all shifts.
Conduct regular rounds to assess staff performance, resident needs, and facility conditions.
Address resident and family concerns and communicate effectively with physicians and nursing administration.
Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
Monitor medication administration and treatment schedules.
Provide direct patient care when necessary.
Collaborate with the MDS team and assist in timely MDS documentation.
Perform audits, chart reviews, and ensure compliance with clinical standards and policies.
Respond to changes in resident condition and ensure emergency preparedness.
Oversee narcotic counts, maintenance needs, new admissions, and discharge planning.
Valid RN or LPN license in the state of Florida (unencumbered)
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing, or healthcare setting
At least 6 months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing
