Description
American Traveler is seeking an Acute Care Speech-Language Pathologist with pediatric feeding and swallowing expertise for a hospital-based pediatric SLP role in Massachusetts.
Details
- Hospital setting providing acute care speech-language pathology services to pediatric patients
- Role involves flexibility across inpatient, outpatient, and Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) care
- Preferred experience includes NICU, Pediatric Inpatient Floor, Pediatric Intensive Care, trach and vent patients, and Outpatient Clinical Feeding Evaluations
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8am to 4:30pm
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts
- 26-week contract length
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certification required
- Massachusetts state SLP license required if applicable
- Minimum 3+ years of pediatric feeding and swallowing experience required
- Independent completion of pediatric competencies required
- Current CPR certification required
- FEES competency preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include providing pediatric feeding and swallowing assessments and treatment across care settings
- Required to attend all team meetings during working hours
- Must complete SLP department training and obtain sign-off on BMC Pediatric SLP Competencies upon starting
- Must adhere to SLP department standards for patient care and documentation
- Reports to and is supervised by the Pediatric SLP Section Leader
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
