Medasource is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at IU Health Methodist Hospital in downtown Indianapolis. This position offers a consistent weekend schedule at a large Level I Trauma hospital with a busy emergency department and advanced imaging services.

Assignment Details

• Three 12-hour day shifts
• Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• One 12-hour on-call shift per month
• Possible floating between similar units based on operational needs
• Block scheduling may be discussed
• Free employee parking
• Royal blue scrubs
• Local candidates and first-time travelers may be considered
• Local compensation may differ from the posted travel package

Clinical Setting

The CT department supports adult acute care, outpatient imaging, ICU and emergency department patients. The hospital maintains Level I Trauma, Stroke and Vascular programs and performs advanced CT studies, including:

• Coronary CTA
• TAVR and cardiac imaging
• Low-dose CT examinations
• Routine and emergency CT imaging
• Contrast-enhanced procedures
• Trauma, stroke and vascular imaging

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
• Prepare and position patients while ensuring safety and comfort
• Start peripheral IVs and administer contrast as required
• Recognize and respond to adverse contrast reactions
• Adjust scanning protocols and technical factors to produce diagnostic-quality images
• Work independently in a busy emergency and acute-care environment
• Document examinations using Cerner, RIS and PACS
• Follow radiation-safety, infection-control and quality-assurance standards

Requirements

• At least one year of recent CT Technologist experience
• Recent acute-care, emergency department or trauma experience preferred
• ARRT certification in Radiography
• ARRT certification in Computed Tomography
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Active Indiana radiology license or ability to obtain it before starting
• Experience with IV starts and contrast administration
• Ability to work two of the three major holidays if the assignment overlaps with them
• Must meet all facility health and compliance requirements
