Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 1+ years of experience and current ARRT (CT) certification for a night shift assignment at an acute care hospital.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting performing inpatient, ER, and scheduled interventional CT cases
- Patient population ranges from infant through geriatric
- Shift is 3x12 hours, Friday-Sunday nights from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- On-call rotation required Monday through Thursday among all technologists
- No floating between service lines or to sister facilities required
- Uses PACS system for imaging
- Epic charting system preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
- Current BLS, ARRT (CT), and SCRQSA (CT) certifications required
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or completion of a student clinical rotation with ARRT certification by end of rotation
- License required if applicable
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT
- Skilled in starting peripheral IVs, contrast media preparation and administration, and performing biopsies
- First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
- Performs high-quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols for physician interpretation
- Level III Trauma, Acute Care Hospital with 286 staffed beds
- Scrub color requirement is teal top with black bottom
- Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler as the facility does not supply one
- Candidates must live within 60 miles to be considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
- Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
- Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
- Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
- During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
