Description
American Traveler is hiring a Multimodality CT Technologist for a hybrid X-Ray and CT role requiring 1+ year of experience as a Registered Radiological Technologist and ARRT (R)(CT) certification.
Details
- Hybrid role covering both a main acute care hospital campus and a free-standing 11-bed ER with imaging services
- Performs CT scans and radiographic exams, producing diagnostic images of designated anatomical areas
- One multimodality tech scheduled per 12-hour shift at the free-standing ER location
- 3x12 hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday (2 days/1 night)
- Friday and Saturday shifts run 6:30 AM-7:00 PM at the main campus; Sunday shift runs 6:30 PM-7:00 AM at the free-standing ER
- On-call rotation required among staff at the free-standing ER location only
- Weekend work may be required if on-call shifts go unfilled
- Uses Epic for charting and PACS for imaging
- Adult acute care patient population
Requirements
- ARRT (R)(CT) and SCRQSA (R)(CT) certification required
- BLS and CPR certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Radiological Technologist and in Computed Tomography
- Must have completed an AMA-approved school of radiological technology
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists
- License required if applicable
- Radiation badge required, which must be provided by the agency
Additional Information
- Obtains patient history, explains procedures, and addresses patient concerns
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Scrub color requirement is black pants with a teal top
- No parking costs at the facility
- Staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November, peak in August and September)
- Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
- 60-mile radius rule applies, with non-local candidates prioritized
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
