Responsibilities:

  • Quality Strategy & Leadership

    • Align quality strategy with business growth initiatives, including expansion into regulated markets such as automotive, medical, and aerospace/defense.
    • Lead all internal and external audits, ensuring readiness, compliance, and effective closure of findings.
    • Establish and track key quality metrics (e.g., PPM, scrap, rework, COPQ) to drive accountability and performance.
    • Champion a preventive quality culture using tools such as PFMEA, control plans, and SPC.
  • Quality Systems & Data Management
    • Lead the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the ERP quality module (e.g., PLEX or equivalent).
    • Ensure data integrity and leverage analytics to drive decision-making.
    • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time visibility into quality performance and risks.
    • Train cross-functional teams on quality systems and best practices.
  • Supplier & Customer Quality
    • Build and manage a robust supplier quality program, including qualification, auditing, and corrective action processes.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
    • Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes to eliminate recurrence.
  • Operational Quality Oversight
    • Ensure effective inspection, testing, and nonconformance management systems across all production stages.
    • Oversee containment, quarantine, and disposition of nonconforming materials.
    • Support production teams in resolving complex, real-time quality issues.
  • Team Leadership & Culture
    • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Quality team.
    • Establish clear expectations, accountability, and growth pathways for team members.
    • Promote organization-wide quality awareness and adherence to IPC and industry standards.
    • Communicate quality, performance, and initiatives clearly to all levels of the organization.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing quality, ideally in electronics or EMS environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading quality teams with direct management responsibility.
  • Proven success in developing and managing a QMS, including ISO 9001 certification ownership.
  • Strong working knowledge of IPC standards (Class I, II, III) and electronics manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with additional standards such as IATF 16949, AS9100, or ISO 13485.
  • Familiarity with PLEX ERP or similar quality system platforms.
