Job Title: Field Buyer
Duration: 12 Months (High Possibility of Extension)
Location: Chandler, AZ 85224 (Onsite is mandate - Local within 40 miles only)
Job Description:
We are seeking a Field Buyer to manage onsite procurement activities, including supplier coordination, purchase order administration, bid evaluations, and material expediting. The ideal candidate will work closely with project teams and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services while maintaining compliance with procurement policies and contractual requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare bidder lists and prequalify suppliers for project procurement.
- Develop bid packages, issue bid requests, and coordinate supplier inquiries.
- Evaluate supplier quotations and prepare Commercial Bid Summaries.
- Recommend purchase order awards and obtain necessary approvals.
- Create, issue, and administer purchase orders throughout the procurement process.
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams to support material procurement requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with purchase order terms and delivery schedules.
- Process purchase order revisions and manage changes affecting project cost and schedule.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, correspondence, and status reports.
- Resolve procurement issues by working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support project execution.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, field buying, or supply chain operations.
- Experience with purchase order administration, supplier management, and contract compliance.
- Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Information:
- Part-time telework schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite each week.
- Experience supporting construction, industrial, manufacturing, or EPC projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar procurement software is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment while managing multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
